I am literally drooling over one of these in my lap as I’m writing this. These cookies are my mom’s. She is the BEST cook. Everything she made growing up was famous to all my friends. I still have people from Texas, where we lived over 15 years ago, ask me about my mom’s famous chocolate chip cookies.
Ya know how usually something you eat a lot get’s old and you don’t always have that same love and craving for it? Well, 28 years later, it hasn’t happened. And I don’t think it ever will.
We literally make these cookies for every occasion, every holiday, birthdays, parties, business meetings, church events, etc.
And you know who always loves them… everyone. They are always the first thing gone and the first thing people ask for next.
Both my girls love them, which is saying a lot, because one of them won’t even eat candy. Her favorite food has always been carrots and cucumbers and she wouldn’t even try a piece of chocolate for a long time.
Since we make them a lot, the girls have become pros. My older, Porschia, asked if she could make a “youtube” video on how to make cookies, so we did. I wish I could have her teach me every recipe. I love this video. We cut it down to fit on instagram, but here is a link:
These cookies even made it into my new book, Joha: A World Apart, which is releasing so soon! March 15th is the big day and being a foodie, I definitely had to sneak some yummy treats in there. They are **Ann’s Famous cookies** in the book, which just so happens to be my mom’s middle name. Not a coincidence. 🙂
There are super easy and so yummy. I usually add some m & m’s, or other holiday flavors in there as well. I’ve posted the recipe below! Hope y’all enjoy!
