There are a lot of things that inspire me every day.  My family.  My friends.  My faith.  (Apparently only things that start with f’s)

Today I’m going to talk about my slogan and what inspired it.

The biggest concept in my novels, that I saw repeating itself, was Light and Dark.  If you know me personally, you know I have a curious and wandering heart for the dark.

Something about it pulls me in and I want to know more.  I want to know what it is.  I want to know how to fix it, if it’s something that needs to be fixed.

Doesn’t the light seem so much brighter when you’ve sat in the dark?

So……. I have these horrible dreams, and there’s always an extremely dark element at play.  But unlike most of my sisters and friends, who are unable to escape their demons while dreaming, somehow, I am always able to overpower the darkness with light.

In my books, there’s always a dark element, but an even brighter good that, if used correctly, can overcome the darkness.

Ergo……    Out of the Dark.

Brilliant, that Dumbledore.
